What is a Home Inspection?

A home inspection is a visual inspection of every part of the home including, but not limited to, the exterior structure, drainage and grading of the property around the structure, exterior siding, roof and attic area, windows, garage, heating and cooling systems, electrical and plumbing systems, basement and/or crawl space.

Whether you are buying or selling, a home inspection will give you the ‘peace of mind’ that you require for possibly one of the largest investments of your life.

For buyers a pre purchase inspection:
Even the perfect home can have hidden challenges and conditions that the untrained eye may not detect.
When you are making one of the largest financial decisions of your life, doesn’t it just make sense to get the opinion of a qualified, licensed professional home inspector?

For sellers a pre sale inspection:
If something turns up on the inspection, you have control over the situation, can use your own contractors and can complete any repairs that are needed prior to the sale.  This can speed up your sale considerably.

With Mark Daughtry and CASCADEwest Home Inspections, you are getting a qualified, licensed professional home inspector that has the highest level of inspection expertise.  Mark is a Certified Master Inspector with the American Institute of Inspectors (A.I.I.)
The training and continuing education that Mark receives assures you that you are getting an inspector that is trained in all of the latest inspection challenges and conditions and is up to date of the most current techniques in the industry.

Mark Daughtry is the owner/inspector of CASCADEwest.  The Company was founded by Mark in 1999 and has performed hundreds of inspections in and around the Puget Sound area since that time.  CASCADEwest inspects in King and Snohomish Counties from Everett to Federal Way and from Snoqualmie Pass to West Seattle.

We limit our inspections to two per day.  That assures you that Mark will have time to thoroughly inspect your home and have plenty of time to address all of your questions and concerns.  The average inspection time for a 2000 square foot home is approximately 3-3.5 hours
